Anethesia written and clinical!

WOw! This had to be one of the most stressful days of my life..Friday March 25 I took my anesthesia board exam. I had studied for 2 weeks straight, reading my anesthesia book from front to back! I made sure I would not be taking this exam again! SO the morning of the big day, I woke up drank an orange juice and took an aspirin(this is suppose to help you when your takin a test). I got to school, and headed into a classroom to take the written portion first! The exam had 50 questions, and I circled about 8 that I was unsure of. After we took the exam all of us girls had to wait, until we recieved an envelope that said we either passed or failed. If we failed we had to go home, and that meant you were done. scary, huh?!! Anyway, so the man brought all the envelopes out and we were all so nervous to open them up..Sure enough I just ripped mine open, and there it said CONGRATULATIONS, you passed!! Oh I seriously almost cried in relief! The written portion was what I was most worried about! Luckily everyone in my class passed! (we are awesome) So, after that we headed over to the clinic so we could give our injections. My partner was Julie, and my PSA and IA went well! I never really shook, but this day I could not stop my hand from shaking, it was actually pretty funny! Well, After I gave my injections I went back in the waiting room, to wait for my second envelope to see if I passed the injections! I rushed over to the envelope as soon as he brought it out, and there there it said, Congratulations you passed and are certified to give anesthesia! 2 boards down, 2 boards pending and 1 to go!! I am still waiting on the results for my clinical and process of care, and I take my written on April 19! Can't wait for this to all be done!

This quote is what I am trying to get into my head...These last few weeks have been so brutal! I have 3 of my boards this month. I just took my clinical last week, and I have been feeling so stressed about it! I honestly don't know how I am going to make it through these next few weeks. I just have to take one day at a time, and keep reminding myself I CAN do this!! I promise once I finish in May, I will update my blog..I have lots of fun things to post about!
FYI. I have 4 weeks of school left!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is what my life consists of.....

My life is so hetic right now....School is coming to an end, and I can't believe I take my boards next month!! But, before I get all excited I have to face reality.....STRESS! I am going to be under so much stress these next few months studying for all my big tests. My typical day consists of waking up, studying, going to school, studying, playing with Jordyn before she goes to bed, catching up with Grant before we go to bed, sleeping(dreaming about what I studied), and then starting all over again! Awesome, right? I know, I know don't be jealous?
These are just half the books I am studying now...

I don't know what I would do without my wonderful husband and family! They help out so much and are the reason I made it to where I am. Being in school 5 days a week, with a 2 year old is NOT easy. My Mom is so good to Jordyn, She wakes her up and watches her most mornings, and then takes her to the babysitters for a few hours until I get home. I don't know how I would do it with out her(Jordyn sure loves her Nammy):) I am going to try and be better at updating my blog, I need to be better at it. I have been slacking on my picture taking as well. I keep bugging Grant about getting me a cannon rebel. I hate taking pictures now with my camera, after using my sister in laws rebel. There is such a huge difference in quality. So hopefully he will get it for me soon, so I can be happy about taking pictures again:)

Memories from 2010!

It's amazing how fast a year goes by...It's fun to look back at all the memories!

Happy New Year!!! 1/1/11...

It's hard to believe 2011 is here already.. I am really looking forward to this year. Grant is finally getting settled down in his career. He will be working 4-10 hour shifts which will be so nice! I will be graduating from Dental Hygiene in May(YAY)!! We are going to be looking for a new house, or be moving back to our townhome, either way I'm stoked! We are talking about the idea of having another little one(no we are not pregnant at the moment). I really am so excited for a new year, and to see what it brings!! Happy New Year to you all! It's hard to believe that today is 1/1/11....

ChRiStMaS 2010!!

Christmas was over in a blink of an eye this year! I know it usually flies by every year, but this year seemed like it went even faster! Jordyn was so stinkin cute! She was so excited to leave Santa Claus cookies, or as she calls him HO Ho Ho! Christmas Eve we celebrated it with our traditional Norwegian style up at Uncle Rick's. We ate a yummy Norwegian dinner, then topped it off with rice pudding. After dinner the Ulennisan(norwegian santa claus) came and brought all the kids gifts! Jordyn was not scared this year and sat on his lap. It was such an enjoyable night. Holidays are even better when you are with your loved ones!


Then Christmas morning Jordyn woke up to lots of toys. Santa claus came and ate her cookies. Jordyn was so happy that Santa brought her baby poopy. Thats all she wanted for Christmas...She was definitely spoiled, she must have been a good girl!! Then we got ready and headed to Grandma Tootsie's for a yummy breakfast!



After we ate our breakfast, Grandma Tootsie and Grandpa Tom and Brenda spoiled Jordyn with more fun toys!


After breakfast we headed home to do Christmas with Nammy(Grandma Kari) and Bompa(Grandpa Laurey). She is definitely one lucky little girl. Nammy gave her a 4-wheeler! She loves riding around on this thing. She still is getting the turning down, she crashes quite a bit!!:)


Then we had one last party! We headed up to Grandma and Papa Hyland's house for dinner! We had a great night hangin with the family and playing with all the kids toys..Uncle Grant is the kids favorite and they love to all pile on him and play!

Whewwww!! What a day! Jordyn was so tired, and fell asleep the moment we put her in the car! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!
