1 week old!

Wow I cant believe our little one is already a week old! Time just goes by way to quickly.....Things are going good for us. Were getting settled in and getting use to all the changes! Were sleep deprived, but she makes it all worth it. Grant went back to work today and that was hard for me. It's been so nice having him home to help for the last week. Breastfeeding is alot harder than I thought it would be. She is doing good, its just that I am soooooo sore, Holy cow I hate pumping too, hopefully in the next week that will get better:) I also recieved a call saying I got accepted to start the Dental Hygiene program this fall(YAY!!!), but since she's so little I am going to wait and start next fall!! I am looking for a good photagrapher to take her newborns, if anyone knows of one let me know!

Jordyn Pearl is here!

JORDYN PEARL HYLAND

June 22, 2008 12:39 p.m.

The big day finally came and we welcomed our sweet little girl..She is so dang cute and I can't believe how much hair she has, it amazes me! Everything went really well. Saturday night I started to have contractions that were close together. Then finally Sunday around 3 in the morning I told Grant we needed to go to the hospital because my contractions were only 4 minutes apart. So we grabbed all of our stuff and headed there. It all went so fast and I was dialating quickly, I got my epidural and within an hour or two I started pushing for about 45 minutes and then she was here! We are so blessed everything went so well, and we are so lucky to have such a sweet and healthy little girl. She is absolutely the best thing in our lives. I can't believe how much love Grant and I have for her already!! Everyone says she looks alot like both of us, I think she looks alot like Grant, but has my nose. You'll have to decide!!

GRRRRR!!!!

I am so ready to have this sweet little baby! I keep telling her that her time is up and she needs to listen to her mom:) As you can tell she is going to be fiesty and make us wait!! So I had my Dr appt today and he said I was 75% effaced and dialated to a 1...Which is good progress, but not quite there. I was also really bummed because my Dr said he was going out of town the whole next week. I was like what??????? No you can't go a week before my due date, I was so sad! So I either have to have her this weekend or wait atleast another week and a half. I really want him to deliver her and be there so we'll see what happens...

I thought this was a good description to describe what labor is probably going to be like:

A woman goes to her doctor who verifies that she is pregnant. This is her first pregnancy. The doctor asks her if she has any questions. She replies, "Well, I'm a little worried about the pain. How much will childbirth hurt?"The doctor answered, "Well, that varies from woman to woman and pregnancy to pregnancy and besides, it's difficult to describe pain.""I know, but can't you give me some idea?" she asks."Grab your upper lip and pull it out a little...""Like this?""A little more...""Like this?""No. A little more...""Like this?""Yes. Does that hurt?""A little bit.""Now stretch it over your head!".....

**Nursery pics**

Here are some pics of the nursery, were just waiting on the rocking chair and then it will be complete! The chandelier was my Grandma Kari's and I am so glad we were able to have it....I'm kind of a freak like that and love having heirlooms past on that have meaning. We also were able to have my Great Grandma Pearl's blanket she made, which means alot since she was the first generation Pearl and Jordyn will be the fifth!
