I am blogging about every detail of Wyatt's birth...I want to remember everything so feel free to skip reading this if you'd like!
So, being pregnant with Wyatt was completely different than Jordyn. Pretty early into the pregnancy I had braxton hicks every day. I also carried Wyatt very high, and out. He was constantly kicking my ribs, whereas Jordyn never kicked them once. So my due date with Wyatt was always changing. They would move it up, then back and so forth. I got pregnant right when I got my iud out, so it made it hard to find an accurate due date. Anyway, I just kept having a feeling that my due date was really around March 22, but my Dr had it on April 5(which was fine). So she said she would induce me Marchn 29 if I hadn't had him yet. So at my 36 week check I was already dialated to a 3.5 and 70% effaced. I thought for sure I was going to go early. Nope, that didn't happen! March 29 rolled around and that was the day I went in to get induced. I didn't sleep at all the night before. I was so anxious to meet this little man. At 6:30 a.m. I recieved a call from IMC to go ahead and come in, they were ready for me:) So I woke Grant up, and gathered all our stuff and headed for the hospital. We got there and checked in and then headed to our room. By the way we were in the exact same room I delivered Jordyn in, it was meant to be! My nurse came in(her name was Mindy and she was AWESOME) at about 8:00 and started the pitocin. Then about10 minutes later Dr.Melissa Brown came in and broke my water. My Dr checked me and I was still dialated to a 3.5. At about 8:30 I started to have painful contractions, so I asked for my epidural...I recieved my epidural at about 9:20 and was feeling so much more comfortable. My nurse checked me and I was now dialated to a 5. After that I started to feel a lot of pressure and I knew the baby was moving down and getting ready. The epidural was perfect, I could still feel my toes and where I was pushing, but no pain:) The only symptom I was having was the chills. I guess thats normal because your body kind of goes into shock, it was my Dr told me. So about 10:30 They checked me again and I was already at a 9. Wow!! This was happening so fast, I couldn't believe how quick things were progressing. My Mom and Grant's Mom were in the room with us.
So, my nurse started getting everything ready. I kept having the urge to push but had to wait. My Dr was delivering another baby...So at about 11:00 my Dr came in and I was ready to go. I pushed for about 20 mins and then he was here. Such a little miracle!! It is the neatest thing in the whole world to give birth. This amazing perfect baby is finally here. He was a big boy...We all guessed he would weigh around 7.5 lbs, nope he was a whoppin 8 lbs 11 oz 22 inches long. He weighed exactley what Grant did. No wonder I was so uncomfortable at the very end:) My Dr also told me that most likely I was a little overdue, since he didn't really have vernix covering his little body...He is absolutely perfect, and such a strong little man. he already lifted his head when they laid him on my chest and wanted to nurse right away. The delivery went perfect, and my Dr was amazing. She checked after the placenta came out and I guess I had another accesory placenta in there, so she got that out. Thats what I had with Jordyn and my previous Dr missed it, which caused me to bleed for 7 weeks, no bueno:(
Grant and I were still debating over names...We had about 3 that we were choosing from. The second day in the hospital we justlooked at each other and both knew it would be Wyatt. He is such a sweet baby.He has lots of brown/blonde hair and looks so cute with a little faux hawk. He nurses great, and takes a bottle and binky. He only fusses when he's hungry. His hands and feet are huge, he is going to be a big boy, like his daddy. He looks just like Grant. He has my nose, and Jordyn's mouth. I also see a lot of Jordyn in him as well. We are so happy to have him in our family. Jordyn just loves him and is such a big helper. She has been a little more sensitive the last couple weeks, but I'm sure its just from the change. She loves to sing twinkle, twinkle little star to him, and gives him a million kisses:) Wyatt is sure loved, and now we are a family of 4 and couldn't be happier!!

We LOVE you Wyatt!!!!
