Getting so big!

Jordyn is growing like crazy.. She is 7 months old now! She will be crawling in no time..She knows exactly how to put her binky in, and has to have it at all times... She LOVES graham crackers and loves to laugh at Syd! Happy 7 months Jordy-Bug!!

BeSt ChOc ChiP CoOkiEeS EveR!!

Since Jordyn isn't feeling the best (she has a little cold and ear infection), I decided I am going to stay home all day and dejunk our house and clean.... Then I started craving a treat so I had to make these cookies and share the yummy recipe!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies Ever
makes 2 dozen
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup shortening
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups all-purpose flour

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt. In another bowl, combine softened butter with shortening, sugar, and brown sugar and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Beat in egg. Gradually add flour mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate chips.
3. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 8-10 min or until they are BARELY starting to brown on top.
4. Enjoy.

Night out with friends!!

On Friday night we went out with our group of friends! We decided it would be fun to get Cafe Rio to go, and eat it at the bowling alley! Well little did we know you can't bring it inside..So with not many options we decided to head over to My Grandma Tootsie's, since she lives like 2 minutes away!! Thanks Grandma, I know you were ready for bed... (thanks for warning us that you were braless:)) Also I want to let our good friends Nate and Naomi know how excited we are for them! They have been trying so long to get pregnant, nothing ever happened so they adopted the cutest little girl Aleena about two years ago. Well its amazing how miracles happen! Their Pregnant!!! We are soooo happy for them! Congrats. We love you guys! So now we have 3 prego's in our group: Shani, Tracy and Naomi!

Serious Problem!

I really do have a problem! I can't stop taking pictures..I can't go anywhere without my camera, and if I forget to take it, I have to buy a disposeable!!! So, the other day I have been thinking how much I love photography, and how interesting it is. ...I would love to take it more seriously and learn all the diffferent things you can do. I know I would need one of those really expensive cameras, and all the phototshop programs, but theres no way we can buy that now. So in the meantime I am going to start slowly and begin to learn all I can, and practice on my own... Maybe one day I'll be good and get that camera I want:) We'll see!!! GO UTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 31-17 Final score..They were amazing last night! They pulled through with a victory over Alabama! 13-o perfect season, what more can you ask for? We got together last night with lots of people to watch the game. Grant was on cloud nine! It was also nice to have Angie and Keith with us. They are living in Michigan and will be moving back in June:)Yay! We can't wait for next football season!! Go Utes.

New Year's Eve!

On New Years we all headed to my Mom and Dad's for another family party! I know my family is out of control, but thats beside the point! Anyway, everyone who wanted to come was welcome. We had lots of family and friends and tons of yummy food..Then we began playing all our fun games! We played darts, and you had to pop a balloon to get a number for your present. Then we played the dice game to get another fun present. After that we played a game made by Grandpa Tom. He spent countless hours trying to invent the Plinko game off Price is Right. Sure enough it was awsome, and so much fun to play! My Grandma Tootsie was givin out money for whichever slot you got it in! They always make everything so fun and entertaining! Then the girls played Price is Right on the Wii, while the guys played poker. Then we headed outside to ring in the New Year. Jordyn was asleep by then. We stayed up until almost 4 in the morning, which was not very smart since Jordyn wakes up at 8. Thats okay though we had a great New Year, and I hope everyone else did too!!!!!

Christmas Day!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!! I can't believe its over already...This year was especially fun since we have Jordyn. It was so fun to buy cute little toys, and get her all dressed up for all the fun parties! We woke up Christmas morning and did our presents, then got ready and headed up to Grandma Tootsies for a yummy breakfast..We stayed there for a while and played games. Then we took off to go to Grant's parents for the evening...We had such a great time being together with everyone!! Jordyn was very spoiled and got lots of fun things. She even got a new highchair(which she loves)!! Grant and I decided not to do many gifts this year for eachother, and keep it simple... I was able to get Grant a football signed by all the Utah players! (Thanks to a girl at work)He loved it!! It was actually kind of nice and less stressful to not go overboard and do as many presents as we usually do, and focus more on others. Maybe we''ll do this every year!!
